This remit was adopted by the Board on 25th March 2015.
The Freegle Geeks Team can be found at [1] . This team is responsible for the Freegle central web facilities.
Remit
The team was announced and launched to Central on 30th November 2010 - message [2] 17685. This is a ‘closed’ team due to the confidential discussions that take place.
The main responsibilities of the team are:
- hosting and infrastructure
- the ilovefreegle.org and direct.ilovefreegle.org websites
- the Freegle mobile application
- support of any 3rd parties who integrate with us, e.g. Snaply
- the mass mailing processes (for members, and groups)
- ilovefreegle email accounts
Geek discussions are kept, whenever possible, on the Freegle Tech Working Group [3]. Many of the Geek discussions, while highly technical, aren't particularly sensitive and are better conducted on Tech out in the open and where others can get involved.
Responsibilities and Tasks
