Reps Report 20Feb to 13April11

Apologies for the delay in issuing this report. It is my fault (Cat).
Trademark-it was decided that we would continue to monitor the UK IPO but we would not register it ourselves. This is something discussed at the Reps summit and will be covered in more detail in the future.
Funding and Bank Account (for Freegle UK)-Reps thought Unity bank was the best option for a National Freegle Bank account. This has now gone to Structure WG for a decision.
Bank account providers need us to submit a constitution.
Constitution (for Freegle UK)-This is with Structure WG at the moment and it is hoped to be ratified soon.
Adjudication Panel Review-
Reps discussed and individually contributed feedback to Structure about the Ombudsman/Deputy/Adjudication Panel's collective views on the Adjudication Panel process. Reps Skill Survey-updated Volunteers Skill survey-how could it be better, what to do with all the info. Central Mods Remit-needs ratifying. Volunteer Code of conduct-concept passed onto People WG for discussion. Working Groups (WGs)-
Team structures, encouraging active participation-ongoing brainstorm. Media WG and task list-ongoing brainstorm.
WG Coordinators-Reps discussed recruitment process and options.

Media- Carole Sixmum (Hayle and St. Ives)
Start WG group resignations and issues-discussed and responded
Assigned Reps as links between Reps Group and Working Groups (WGs)

People - Saira, Ollie Start - Paul, Sian Media - Adam, Paul Tech - Ollie, Edward Local Funding - Kath, Jane
GAT (Group Affiliation Team)
Team members/Reps overlap. Rejection of a new group application (ratification of). Agreed Tom (New Group Coordinator) could join Yahoo group used by GAT (but he is not an active GAT member, he just has access to the information posted on the Yahoo Group). GAT annual review-non-GAT Reps will post feedback to Central asap. GAT new Rep observer- Ollie and Edward will continue share this role.
Other Reps Group matters-
Reps Co-Ordinator role and housekeeping rota-in an effort to find fairer ways of distributing Reps group admin tasks and improve our working practices. Child Protection Policy-Saira is taking the lead on this task as she has expertise in this field. Police enquiry-Saira followed up procedural enquiry about a local group member. Rep Email account issues-sorted. How Teams work best-ongoing brainstorm.
How to Poll on Reps. What constitutes a discussion. When is a Poll not a Poll.
Reps Summit-discussions and actions covered: logistics agenda production of stats creation of strategy document assigned presenters to agreed themes
Themes and presenters: Strategy (What is Freegle? Where is it going? and How?) - Edward and Sian after consultation with other 7 Reps
People - Jane & Saira
Publicity - Cat and Adam
Platform - Edward & Ollie
Organisation - Sian & Paul
Finance (Funding) - Adam and Kath
All 9 Reps met up in Leeds on Sunday 03April and we will be posting feedback on Central in the coming weeks.
Complaints referred one to a local group, received a few about Reps and discussed whether anonymised complaints should be forwarded on to the complainant and if so who should do this.
