This page has some ideas for tweets and messages to promote Freegle.

Freegle has a national twitter account, @ThisIsFreegle / https://twitter.com/#!/thisisfreegle If people follow this page, they will get tweets generated centrally. We tweet every day, sometimes little funny things, sometimes links, news or little prompts to get people thinking about reuse and recycling. Local freegle group twitter-ers can of course 'retweet' these national tweets-which helps promote Freegle to new people.

Tweets have a restriction of a maximum of 140 characters (including spaces and punctuation). They can of course be less than that. (If you don't want to lose a chunk of your tweet when it's retweeted you need to start with 140 characters less the number of characters in your tweet name less 5.)
